Happiness Blooms from within!

Good morning beautiful scrappers,

Today I'm back with more inspiration for you!

Using the June mood board, I created this canvas which is inspired by Anna Dabrowska!

This is my sister-in-laws, Sister
who got married at the beginning of this year!!
I loved this photo and need to do something, soft and pretty.

I started with the 12x24cm canvas and
attached the decorative tissue paper - Flutter, using soft mat gel.
I then attached my lace, canvas strips and Dusty Attic flourish with heavy body gel. for the other side I used the cut out as a stencil using modelling paste.
I dried the canvas!

Once completely dry, I painted over with diluted heavy gesso
and added texture paste; crackle paste.

I the added the colour sprays - Poppy fields, Precious Stone -
mixed in with liquid acrylic paint - Tiger Orange

I then touched up with the heavy gesso.

Leaving the canvas to dry,
I then took the artist pallet and painted the heavy gesso first and
attached left over tissue paper.

I then used a script stencil using expanding mousse - Tuscan gold.
After drying added crackle past with heavy gesso.
I added mint Sparkle wax to both canvas and pallet.

For the straws, I rolled script paper on one and inked the other one with Oregano.

Using alcohol inks - sepia; butterscotch -
on my white painted chip boards to help create an rustic look.

for the leaves I used Clover green.

after all this it was a case of placing and attaching everything down.

To finish the canvas, I added loads of flowers, metal embellishments
and glass bubbles, as well as other bits and bobs!

My Dream Story!

Hello,

I have an off the page inspiration for you!

This was my childhood typewriter, so what better way to tell a story!
and mix media it!

I started by covering the whole typewriter with heavy gesso.

After drying it, I stencilled with small damasks stencil.
Dried again.

I then cover it with Heritage Kwik crack (local product)
and applied heavy gesso, again.
Drying with heat tool.
Making sure it was completely dry,
I started pouring the alcohol inks on, starting with Oregano then continued with Butterscotch;sepia and teak-wood to create an aged look.

I sanded the edges of the typewriter keys!

For the chip boards I painted with Ayeeda paint (@13arts) metallic dark yellow
and touched up with the butterscotch ink and dusted with black chalk.

After this its just a case of placing and attaching all the elements down.

I used old card board to back and place the photo!
I used printable clocks and handmade butterflies.

I used all sorts of flowers including Dusty in Bloom - Grassy Knoll.

(Adding words by Tim Holtz!)

Included metal hearts and screws (Prima) and a heart plus key padlock!
