Paradise found

I am Back….
Here’s my last impression of April mood board.
I found this photo of Marilyn Monroe on the net and decided to tone this one down.

This photo needed something beautiful just like Marilyn.

The back ground paper is from Kaisercraft and using a script stamp,
lightly stamped with Tim Holtz- Pumice stone ink.

I used the new Prima Acrylic paints - Deep waters to colour my gauze
and Pure Sunshine for the netting.

I added bark form my palm tree, some dried roots,
as well as sea sand and shells. Including a star fish.

Using the Prima Metallique – Deep waters and
All-Purpose champagne ink
I painted all my Dusty Attic Chippies!

I added one Yellow flower from Prima.

Life Is Good...

Good morning beautiful people!!
I am back with my interpretation of the April l mood board.

Very bold and bright!

So this is my heart, this little boy loves his mom so much that I must pay him attention 24/7.  If I don’t this is how he gets my attention! LOL

Using a dot and coffee stencil, I created the back ground, using Tim Holtz-Back soot ink and Prima yellow rust paste.

I fussy cut tags, added netting.

I found daises flowers as well as little birdie (Celebr8) flowers.

I also added corrugated board to add texture.

I hope I inspired you!

Comfortable Much?

Hiya Scrappy Friends,

We as the Dusty Attic design team,
were asked to be guests on the More Than Words challenge this month,
with the word “Comfortable” using the beautiful colour palate.

my inspiration for this is my dog!
Do you often look at your beloved pets sleeping and you think to yourself how on earth can that be comfortable?

Needless to say: this is my baby boy,
who sleeps in the funniest positions all the time.
I took this picture of MAC is faster sleep on my lap snoring with his little open mouth!

I dusted my ground with Cracked Pistachio on a wet wipe. Then using dry wall tape I rubbed with Versa Magic Dew Drop Chalk Ink Pad - eggplant and perfect plumeria! Letting it smudge a bit!

I took the gauze a coloured with Cracked Pistachio and let dry.
with the left over ink I coloured my tag!
I then took, Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain - Seedless Preserves- sprayed my flowers and my tags, making one darker with Versa Magic Dew Drop Chalk Ink Pad - eggplant and perfect plumeria!

For the film chippies I used Tim Holtz Distress ink pads - Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke to create my desired effect.

Then put altogether!
To me they look so uncomfortable but they seems happy and comfortable!

MAC is a sliver /black miniature schnauzer and has a green collar, all which just lends themselves to the colour pallet mood board.

So here's another of my dear boys sleeping positions!
Yes, I'm lounging back in my chair and this is how we watch TV most nights!

Spread your wings and fly!

 Good day everyone!
I’m back today with a fun layout for the March mood board!
This is my daughter a few years ago!

Using gel medium, I stencilled (from the Penelope Dee Victoria collection). Once dry, I added inks, All-Purpose inks, very watered down and touching up with the Nuvo pens, where needed. On top of this, I then used the butterfly stencil from Dusty Attic with Nuvo Glimmer paste –Moonstone.

For the chippies I used a mixture of Sparkle paints and chalk inks to create the effects I wanted. (I mix and play until I get the required look) I title chippie is from Penelope Dee Feathered collection.

Foiled butterflies, Netting and dried grass are added, along with flowers (Little Birdie from yesteryear!)

I truly hope that I inspire you to step out of your box and try something new!
